Weekend snow report notice from the European Division, National Ski Patrol:
Heavy snow is predicted for this weekend (10-12 November) in the Alps. Maybe over 50 cm in the
higher areas but also with wind. Avalanche forecast is up to 4 (on scale of 5) in some locations.
Expect trail and even area closures.
Sunday skiing on the glaciers could be really awesome with new powder or really lousy because
you won’t be able to see anything. Either way though, avalanche danger will be considerable so
having avalanche gear with you will not be a bad idea.
Bottom Line: Ski in groups; stay inside the trail markings; and don't get stuck on stupid.
